The products come from manufactories from the arid interior of the north east of Brazil where in addition to weavers also many people in the near of the manufactury are involved in the completion of the hammocks (producing the knobs, the borders ...).
One of our partners is a cooperative of approsimately 30 family businesses owning only one or a few looms. The goal of the cooperative: using synergies of the production, dyeing and marketing of hammocks and other textiles and financing social and education projects together.
Another manufactory provides exclusivley hand - woven hammocks: for that hand looms are lent to the weavers and assambled in their house (see hammocks of the line princesa).
